I've been there a couple of times: never disappointed. Their meals are fairly simple but very tasty! Nothing exceptional in their menu though: salads, burgers and classic French noon meals are served in a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. I'd say that it's a fair value-for-money place to lunch/dinner: prices are not cheap but not too expensive for what it is.
Waiters have always been nice and friendly to us. This is something that can be tricky to find in Paris. Even though the location is not perfect for tourists, it's worth going there for people who've been for a street art walk around the "Butte aux cailles" area. I don't know whether they speak English or not though as I'm French, but I assume so...
Finally, the place looks pretty clean although I have never visited the kitchen hehe.
I'm quite sure you won't be disappointed either if you once decide to go there! -

A good spot to stop for a coffee, but beware that the terrace (as always) will be the gathering spot for the smokers, and because of the raised glass screen, the smoke will often have nowhere to go, but to you...

The site of the former "Acrobates et Funambules" restaurant is now the home of "Le Circus". After a 2 month complete renovation, Le Circus adds something to this quarter that was missing (a bistro). We've been watching the renovation of the old establishment for a few weeks and today finally it's opened so had to go check it out. We liked the interiors as there is great light and nice comfortable decor. A large area toward the back with big leather coaches seems perfect place to have a drink with family or friends. The bar is huge! We ordered the American Cheeseburger and did not disappoint: Very good quality burger, cheese, bun, relish. Service is warm, happy, and friendly. It's a large venue with 4 distinct areas each with their own character: comfortable, moody, light and happy, and traditional. Great place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks, coffee...
The location at the foot of the Buttes aux Cailles neighborhood makes it a convenient place to have a drink, lunch, dinner, breakfast then go shopping in the Buttes aux Cailles shops.
Overall, a very nice addition to the neighborhood.
